Do a minimum of 60 minutes workout for at least 6 days a week and take 1 day off. You should be focusing on cardio, aerobics and swimming exercises. There are others just as good but if you focus on just these 3 and be consistent you will be able shed pounds and lose 40lbs in just 3 months.

#2 500 Calories Deficit a Day

For at least 3 months try to eat 500 calories less a day. This can be hard for many, regular exercise will make you hungry; a great way to make sure that you eat 500 calories less a day is to drink 2/3 litres of water a day. Also swapping from your regular spoon to a smaller size can help to eat less.

#3 Weight Resistance Training

During the day make sure that you also do weight resistance training, you can do that while doing cardio or brisk walks. Make sure that you carry dumbbells while you walk, this will not only burn calories but gain muscle which is more important than losing weight.

#4 Log Your Daily Calorie Count

There are loads of mobile apps that allow you to login your daily food intake. My favourite is called “Noom”, which allows you to log in daily workout sessions and meals. This way you will be able to manage how much calories you are taking and burning a day. Calories are the source of weight loss so make sure that you count them every day.
